Description & Overview

This virtual camp will be held via Webex on January 26 - 28, 2026 (Monday to Wednesday). Morning sessions will run from 9 AM until noon, and afternoons will be from 1 PM until 4 PM.

We've heard from many of our new members that they need a more comprehensive training to start them off on the right foot in Pupil Auditing. In response to this request, we've created a 3-day boot camp to give those new to the field a firmer grounding in the basics.

Attendees who complete the Boot Camp will have 6 of the required courses for the Pupil Accounting Auditor completed and have a great start on their MSBO certification. 

Agenda & Speakers

Day 1 - Pupil Accounting and Auditing Basics - Leah Cameron and Carrie Haubenstricker will be taking you through the basics of pupil accounting in the morning, and auditing in the afternoon.  Topics will include learning the terms and acronyms, through working with the 3 populations to all the forms to use and the documents to gather.

Day 2 - Auditing in Depth - Carrie Haubenstricker and Shannon Rea will take attendees through the desk and field audit processes from start to finish.  All 3 populations will be explained along with the auditing requirements of each, as well as the graduation rate audit process.

Day 3 - Days and Hours & The Auditor's Year - In the morning, Rob Dickinson will explain the days and hours requirements and how to ensure your districts meet them (plus what it will cost them if they don't). In the afternoon, Carrie Haubenstricker and Julie Ziesemer will cover a typical year in an auditor's duties and provide suggestions on ways to make the year easier for you and more supportive for your locals.

Cost Information

The cost of the Boot Camp will be $450 for MPAAA members and $550 for non-members. You can register online with a credit card by pressing the register button below, or if a credit card isn't available to you, you can print out the registration form to the right and mail it in with a check.

Cancellation Policy & Contact Information

Members and guests will be charged a cancellation fee of $100 for event registrations canceled by December 29th. There will be no refunds for cancellations occurring after this date.

Please contact our Executive Director to request cancellation of a workshop in which you are registered or for any other event / MPAAA related question.

*NO REFUNDS* will be granted if cancellation is after the December 29th, 2025 cutoff date.
