Description & Overview

For those of you new to Pupil Accounting Auditing, or those wishing to refresh themselves on take the courses included in the Auditor's Bootcamp, we are making recordings of the bootcamp available this summer that will count towards MSBO certification.  These sessions were recorded in the winter and summer of 2026, and have been reviewed to ensure the content is still correct and relevant.

These 6 session links will be sent to you shortly after you register and will remain open through the end of August. You will have open access to watch them as many times as you wish during that period. There will be a form should be returned to the MPAAA office to receive MSBO credit.

Agenda & Speakers

Sessions 1 and 2 - Intro to Pupil Accounting and Intro to Auditing - The presenters will take you through the basics of Pupil Accounting and Auditing, from learning the terms and acronyms, through working with the 3 populations to all the forms to use and the documents to gather.

Sessions 3 and 4 - Auditing 1 & 2 - Our presenters will take attendees through the desk and field audit processes from start to finish.  All 3 populations will be explained along with the auditing requirements of each, as well as the graduation rate audit process.

Session 5 -The Auditor’s Year - Your presenters will guide you through an entire calendar year. Learn about regulated due dates and the pre-work needed to meet those deadlines. All state-level reporting and auditing work will be covered to ensure a thorough understanding in how the various audits intermesh during the year 

Session 6- Days and Hours - Your presenter will explain the days and hours requirements and how to ensure your districts meet them (plus what it will cost them if they don't).

Cost Information

The cost for the 6 3-hour sessions will be $450 for MPAAA members and $550 for non-members.
