Description & Overview

MPAAA proudly offers its membership the annual Lower Peninsula Fall Conference at the Bluewater Convention Center in Port Huron Island from Monday, September 14th through Wednesday, September 16th.  This conference provides valuable information for everyone working with Pupil Accounting, Pupil Auditing, and Educational Data. 

MPAAA seeks to continue its effort to be your primary ‘go-to’ resource regarding school funding and legislation related to school operations and funding.  Our conferences are designed to assist anyone working with student data, school funding, enrollment and membership requirements, and auditing.  The one thing we can assure you, whether you are attending the Fall conference in Port Huron or on Mackinac Island, is that this conference is not to be missed! 

Speakers and Sessions

Various speakers from around the state (including CEPI, MDE, MiLEAP, etc.) and local school districts will be in attendance.  Session topics range from basic sessions for beginners to advanced topics for experienced staff.  We will be offering duplicate sessions whenever time allows to ensure that you have as many options as possible.  Certification courses will also be offered for those still working on an MSBO certification.  Please see the Session Description document for all of the sessions tentatively scheduled.

General Information

Conference registration includes breakfast and Lunch on Monday and Tuesday, as well as breakfast on Wednesday.  Session and other presenter materials will be posted on the MPAAA website in advance of the conference.  Attendees are welcome to print the materials ahead of time for the sessions which they are planning to attend.  Please visit www.mpaaa.org and click on the conferences link for details.  As we expect this conference to fill to capacity, on-site walk-ins will not be accepted. 

The cost of the conference is $595.00 for MPAAA members and $700 for non-members.  You can register with a credit card using the registration button on this page, or use the attached paper registration form to mail us a check.  Please be aware that the space for this conference is limited to 320 attendees.

Cancellation Policy & Contact Information

Members and guests will be assessed a cancellation fee of $100 for event registrations canceled up to Monday, August 31st.  There will be no refunds for cancellations occurring after that date.

Please get in touch with our Executive Director to request cancellation of a workshop or conference for which you are registered, or for any other event / MPAAA related question.

*NO REFUNDS* will be granted if cancellation is after the August 31st cutoff date.
